Introducing Side Bets: Junk, Nassau & Baseball
Skins is the main event — but it's rarely the only bet running. There's a buck riding on the greenie, a Nassau going on the side, points flying around the threeball that couldn't make even teams. Today, Carry starts tracking all of it. Meet Side Bets: three optional games — Junk, Nassau, and Baseball — layered right on top of your skins.
Junk
Junk — a.k.a. dots — pays a fixed amount for the little feats that make a round. A birdie. A sandie (up-and-down out of the bunker). A greenie (closest to the pin on a par 3). Barkies, chippies, bushies. Your group decides what each dot is worth, and Carry keeps the running tally — so nobody has to remember who made what on the back nine.
Nassau
Nassau is three bets in one: the front 9, the back 9, and the full 18. Each is its own match, decided by holes won over that stretch — not total strokes. Play it heads-up between two, or four-handed as a two-against-two four-ball. Carry runs all three matches as you score.
Baseball
Baseball — you might know it as Nines — is the points game for threesomes. Nine points are up for grabs on every hole, split by score: low ball takes the most, ties split the difference. Most points after 18 wins. It's how you keep a three-ball fair when even teams aren't an option.
Set up per group, settled with your skins
Every side bet is set per tee group, so each foursome runs its own. The group's scorer opens the Side Bets screen, flips on what they're playing, and sets the stakes — and everyone in the group sees the results. Your skins game doesn't change one bit; the side bets just ride along, and Carry settles each one right next to your skins when the round's done.
Kept your scorecard clean
Side bets add a lot to track, so we were careful not to bury your card in it. The scorecard updates are deliberately minimal — just enough to keep context, like the strokes that matter and the dots as they land — without turning your card into a spreadsheet. Skins stays the headline; the side-bet detail sits quietly alongside, there when you want it and out of the way when you don't.
Three new ways to play, one update. Set your stakes — and may the dots fall your way.
